ABOUT THE OWNER

I have been collecting action figures non-stop since childhood (even through junior high and high school.  I just kind of hid it from my peers).  I worked in a large comic book and collectable store in the suburbs of Detroit where I was (naturally) the action figure specialists for seven years.  Throughout those seven years, I set up and ran action figure conventions.  I then left the profession and entered the corporate world but never stopped collecting action figures.  In 2005 I was laid off from my job in the automotive industry and thus started Primetoystore.com.  In the same year, I got married and moved to Greensboro, North Carolina as my wife was starting her professional career.  I continued to grow Primetoystore.com.  A year and a half later my wife was promoted by her employer to a job in northern Vermont where I currently operate Primetoystore.com.  I am expecting my first child (a baby girl on June 21st 2008).

I have began writing action figure editorials professionally for various websites and aspire to write for more publications and I am currently pursuing both print and online outlets for my writings.  I have also had album reviews published and I would also like to continue Evaluating albums as I am a music enthusiast.

My passion for action figures surpasses anyone I have ever met.  I look at them not as only a child's play thing but as a piece of art and nostalgia.  I not only run this site with the expectations of growing it into a full time career but as a place for other enthusiasts to go to in order to hunt down their favorite toys, read reviews, and of course read my rather blunt opinions.

I spend a great deal of time researching both the current action figure market and the old (particularly the 1980's).  Thanks to the internet, I have been able to expand my knowledge on the most obscure of toy lines.  I also feel that Primetoystore.com is one of those websites that helps those who look for information on the obscure and unusual.

Primetoystore.com is not only a way for me to supplement my hobby and provide some income to pay those dastardly bills we all are responsible for paying but also as a way to use my knowledge and passion to reach out to other collectors and help them in their search. 

We all have different aspirations in life and mine has always only been to be involved in the world of action figures somehow.  Primetoystore.com is just one of those contributions I provide as my knowledge and understanding of the industry is prepared to take the next step, whatever that may be.
